The Alan Parsons Project - The Definitive Collection - 1997

"The Alan Parsons Project - The Definitive Collection" es un álbum de dos CDs editado en 1997 que recopila algunos de sus mejores y más conocidos trabajos, abarcando toda la discografía oficial del grupo hasta entonces (desde "Tales..." (1976) a "Gaudí"(1987) ) . Incluye también dos temas del álbum de Alan Parsons (ya sin Eric Woolfson), "Try Anything Once"(1993).Como por entonces Alan aún estaba acompañado básicamente por los músicos del project, un tema está firmado por el guitarrista Ian Bairnson y el otro por Parsons junto a Andrew Powell, responsable de los arreglos orquestales de APP.

En la información de cada tema consta quién es el cantante principal y a qué álbum pertenece.

El arte del libro es también destacable, muy en la onda y a la altura de la imaginería que acompaña los diseños de Pink Floyd y el propio Alan Parsons Project.

Fue una decente adquisición en cd, que atesoré hasta la llegada de la caja en ese formato "The Alan Parsons Project - The complete albums collection", en abril de 2014 (ver entrada aquí), lo cual sí que es una verdadera "colección definitiva" sin discusiones.
